A PLACE. A MINISTRY. A FUTURE.

We believe Silver Lake’s best days can still be ahead.
And we need your help to make that future possible.

The Campaign for the Future of Silver Lake is underway, with a goal of raising $3 million to purchase the Silver Lake property and create a sustainable future for this extraordinary place.

The campaign began with an inspiring $400,000 pledge announced in late August, and momentum is building. New pledges are coming in, and churches are beginning to step forward. Every commitment brings us closer to our goal.

What Can You Give to Silver Lake’s Future?

One of the most moving commitments came from FOSL Board member Sue Butler-Woodward. Sue sat down with her financial advisor and asked:

“What’s the most I can possibly give and still know that I’ll be okay in my later years?”

Sue, a retired teacher married to a retired pastor, ultimately pledged $30,000 plus $700 a month for three years.

Her generosity is an extraordinary expression of faith in Silver Lake—and an invitation for all of us to consider what we can do.

What is Silver Lake worth to you?

For nearly 70 years, Silver Lake has been a place where children discover their voices, young people develop leadership skills, adults deepen their faith, and generations form friendships that last a lifetime. It is a place to step away from the pressures of everyday life and reconnect—with God, with one another, with ourselves, and with creation.

At a time when so much of life feels uncertain and overwhelming, places like Silver Lake matter more, not less.

Your Gift Can Help Make It Possible

Give now to support FOSL’s work today or make a future pledge contingent upon FOSL reaching an agreement to purchase the property. Every commitment helps demonstrate the financial support needed to secure Silver Lake’s future.

A successful purchase is only the beginning. As new owners, we will face significant first-year expenses and cash-flow challenges while building a sustainable operating model for the future. Your gift today helps us take the next step; your ongoing commitment can help sustain Silver Lake for generations to come.

Maybe your gift is $100. Maybe it is $1,000. Perhaps you can make a major gift, gather your family to give together, make a multi-year pledge, donate appreciated assets, or include Silver Lake in your estate plans.

There is no single right way to give. There is a place for everyone in this campaign.

Join Us

We are grateful beyond words to those who have already stepped forward—including our anonymous $400,000 donor and Sue—and to the churches and individuals who are beginning to make their commitments.

Now we invite you to join them.

If Silver Lake has touched your life, helped shape your faith, given you lifelong friendships, or changed the life of someone you love, this is a moment to give back.

Together, we can ensure that future generations have the opportunity to experience the meaning and ministry of Silver Lake.

We can do this—but we need everyone who cares about Silver Lake to be part of the effort.
