The Friends of Silver Lake Board of Directors is pleased to announce the hiring of Sioux Wilusz as our part-time project manager. Sioux will be providing essential help with day-to-day organizational operations of FOSL. She currently works at PerkinElmer US LLC and is a member of First Church of Christ, UCC in Simsbury CT.

Sioux comes to FOSL with many years of experience, serving the historic Connecticut Conference from 2012-2020 as a Program Associate and Executive Assistant to the Conference Minister. Her work with the conference included work for Silver Lake; attending conference events and workshops, and helping the Silver Lake staff during the busy summer months.

Sioux's love for Silver Lake goes back to the days she attended middle school and high school retreats with Poquonock Community Church.

Summer camp is in Sioux's DNA! Her family grew up at Camp Shalom in Windsor CT, where her father was the Property Control Manager for the Hartford Jewish Community Center.

Wilusz Says, "I understand the personal commitments, spiritual connections, and the deep roots that form only in a camp setting. Walking into Silver Lake always feels like home. "

Please join us in welcoming Sioux. We're really glad she's working with us!
